About Me.
Welcome!
I’m Valerie Zabashta – proud Ukrainian, tech enthusiast, and professional bug hunter (no, not the creepy-crawly kind). My goal is straightforward: ensure that digital products don’t turn your devices into glitchy nightmares.
With years of experience in full-cycle testing, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including BBC, Disney, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros, Gaming Realms and others. I’ve spent countless hours making sure the characters don’t break the fourth wall in unintended ways – or worse, disappear into the void.
Currently, I work at West Pier Studio in Brighton, where I develop test plans and strategies for interactive games across various platforms. I also conduct regulatory and compliance testing to ensure industry standards are met, and perform UI, user flow, and regression testing to guarantee a seamless gaming experience. Alongside this, I prepare weekly QA reports for the entire team to keep projects on track and ensure milestones are met.
Before joining West Pier Studio, I worked at Jollywise, where I helped test and refine digital content, ensuring it was both functional and user-friendly, particularly for children and family audiences.
This blog serves as a creative refuge, offering a moment of clarity amidst the chaos of life and war. In a world that can often feel unpredictable and unfair, I channel my energy into dissecting the world of IT, game development, and software testing. Expect a mix of deep dives into QA methodologies, industry insights, and the occasional dose of humour, because tech is way more fun when you can laugh at it.
Thanks for stopping by. Let’s explore the landscape of tech together – preferably without breaking anything along the way.
